Senior Cyber Security Analyst

Our client is undergoing exciting greenfield developments as they expand and strengthen their security team to enhance their internal SOC. They are seeking skilled cybersecurity analysts known for their expertise and contributions to high-level security environments.

Currently, they are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join their SOC as a technical leader. You will oversee daily security operations, provide technical guidance, mentor team members, lead threat detection efforts, manage incident responses, and help shape the company's security strategies.

You will have a proven track record in incident response, the ability to manage complex security scenarios, and experience leading teams in dynamic environments. This role is suited for someone skilled in navigating fast-paced situations and eager to take on a leadership position that significantly affects the company's security stance.

Key Duties

• Lead threat detection and threat intelligence hunting.
• Lead the investigation and response to non-critical incidents.
• Handle escalations and lead incident responses.
• Mentor junior analysts.
• Coordinate and lead tasks across teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• 4+ years in cybersecurity, operating in a SOC environment.
• Strong background in incident response and digital forensics.
• Experience with EDR tools such as Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, or Carbon Black.
• Experience with SIEM tools, preferably Splunk.
• Proficient in network identification tools and products.
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, no sponsorship.
• Ability to lead and coordinate tasks across multiple teams.
