Job Purpose
Enhance and secure the organisation's cloud infrastructure, focusing on AWS environments. Design secure architectures and implement robust security measures. Proactively respond to security incidents. Integrate security within the development lifecycle and ensure continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and rectify security flaws within AWS environments.
- Conduct security analyses to detect and respond to security events.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security practices and minimise risk.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to junior engineers.
Requirements
- At least four years of experience in security engineering, with significant exposure to AWS infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of software engineering, preferably with experience in functional programming using Golang.
- Demonstrated experience in automating security controls within AWS.
- Proficiency in handling EDR solutions like CrowdStrike, and a proven track record of mentoring junior staff.
